The first half of the year has been exciting and successful with no signs of slowing down any time soon.

So far this year, we have planned incentive travel programs all over the world, added new hires to our team, and participated in some extraordinary industry growth opportunities.

New Program Manager – Chessie

With the influx of new and exciting programs, we have added a new program manager to the team. Meet Chessie Mann, a seasoned professional with over twenty years of event planning experience in both corporate and non-profit sectors. Chessie brings expertise in creating efficient systems and processes that enhance productivity and service quality. Outside of work, Chessie is a dedicated gardener who enjoys rescuing neglected house plants and playing tennis. What most excites Chessie about working at Sutton Planning is the incredible collaboration of the team—a group she considers among the best she has worked with, whose collective talents and strengths inspire a culture of excellence. She looks forward to bringing her passion for impactful program improvements to the organization, driven by a career-long commitment to making a positive difference, now on a global scale.

From Intern to Program Coordinator – McKenna

Meet McKenna: wife, avid reader, and coffee addict. Last summer, McKenna started with Sutton Planning as an intern through a local university where she assisted our team with multiple tasks from sales, to marketing, to program management. Upon graduation, McKenna joined us full-time as our newest program coordinator. As a program coordinator, McKenna works behind the scenes to support our program managers in designing programs from beginning to end with tasks such as program marketing, guest communications, content writing, and more. McKenna has integrated her passion for creativity into her work by curating the program marketing for all the incentives, meetings, or retreats we plan. The program marketing includes trip logo design, website creation, marketing emails, app design, and more. With a promising career ahead in the incentives and meetings industry, McKenna looks forward to continuing to learn and grow and to innovate and deliver exceptional experiences for our clients.

Rising Star – Taylor

Taylor was chosen to take part in the IRF‘s inaugural Accelerate Program Class, a highly competitive initiative providing education, mentorship, and volunteer opportunities in the incentive industry. The program prioritizes mid-level incentives professionals who are eager to become more involved in the incentives industry and help develop emerging leaders. While participating in the program, Taylor attended quarterly meetings with her appointed mentor, participated in monthly volunteer committee meetings, partook in research concerning attendee preferences across the industry, and went to the annual IRF Invitational in the Bahamas. This opportunity has ignited Taylor’s path within the industry with important connections across the globe as well as a fresh insight on ways to continue to elevate our client programs.

Destination Highlights from Programs:

Planning a program around the destination and the unique experiences available is a significant part of our work. Whether it’s a destination off the beaten path in Europe or a secluded island in the Caribbean, every destination is unique and exciting in its own way. No matter where the program occurs, it is our job to design a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our clients and guests. While we plan programs worldwide every year and it may be hard to choose, we asked our team to share their favorite destination they’ve planned so far. Some of our team favorites are Mallorca, a Mediterranean gem, Iceland and its beautiful showcase of the Northern Lights, and Santa Fe with its vivid displays of color and culture.
