There’s no way around it. Travel can be kind of dirty.
As we move into the spring season, allergies and illnesses rise. Not to mention, there is an increased awareness of sickness in general in the wake of COVID-19. How do we protect ourselves from the environment, unescapable toxins, and sickness shared between people? How do we stay healthy when we have a travel incentive or destination meeting on the horizon?
At Sutton Planning, we have accumulated some helpful tips for prioritizing your health and wellness while traveling:
Stay Hydrated
The last thing you want to feel is the effects of dehydration while on an exciting incentive travel adventure. Drink lots of water and eat plenty of fruit to stay hydrated during your travels. This keeps your immune system healthy and ready to tackle any negativity that comes your way!
Wash Up
We all know by now how important it is to wash your hands. Hand sanitizer is good in a pinch, but it is always best to use warm water and soap. So, eliminate that unwanted bad bacteria by lathering up!
Wipe it Down
Antibacterial wipes will be your best friend while traveling. Use them to wipe the airline seats and tray tables, doorknobs, and other areas of high contact where germs build up.
Sun Protection
Sun rays can be brutal in various parts of the world. Trust us, you do not want a sunburn while you’re supposed to be on a relaxing trip. It’s best for you and your skin to always pack and wear sunscreen before going out into the sun.
Rest and Recharge
You’re on vacation! Take some time to prioritize your sleep and anything you find relaxing. Read on the beach, enjoy a sunrise coffee, go for a walk. This is your time to rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul. Nourish it well.
